Are you a champion on a Big Wheel, a giver, maybe an opportunist or a helpful padawan? Well if you are any of those, or maybe none of them, we still want you on board. Join this year's Tulsa Big Wheel Race and learn how much fun giving back can be.


Behind the Wheel

Races will begin at 6pm. Please see the following schedule for race breakdown. Teams must register PRIOR to the event to be eligible to race. Individual Relay Racers can register online or at the event.

 

Corporate Relay Team Race--$500/4 person team
This year, the Tulsa Big Wheel Race gives you the perfect shot at showing your workplace pride to win the ultimate bragging rights. Corporations can register a relay team for $500—then find or build the best big wheel they can get their hands on, place their brand all over their ride and show this town who's boss. Or, if you’re in it just for fun, you can use one of our big wheels too.


Teams Relay Race--$150/4 person team
You can’t have a good relay race without a good team.  So get creative, come up with a great team name and start building your racing army.  Teams can register to race for $150 (that’s just $38 a person!). Teams during these heats must use big wheels provided by us and will not be allowed to use modified big wheels.

 

The top three teams from each heat will compete in a Champions heat for the ultimate Tulsa Big Wheel title.


Modified Big Wheel Team Relay Race--$150/4 person team
Have the creative and handy chops to BYOBW (Build Your Own Big Wheel)? $150, or just $38 a team member, will get you into the modified big wheel team relay race, where the best of the Big Wheel best will compete to prove their wheels are top notch. All big wheels used during this race MUST be made and/or modified by your team.

 

There will only be ONE heat for modified big wheels, so register quickly as space is limited.


Individual Races--$20/racer

Do you have what it takes to brave the track and join the race to make an impact? The Big Wheel Race is your chance to show us what you're made of.  Individuals can race for just $20 in a one lap race to the finish line. Don’t worry, we’ve got prizes lined up for you too, but all individual racers must race using our big wheels. No modified wheels allowed.

Volunteers, Givers & Non-racing Rock Stars

    You do not have to brave the track to be involved.  Here are some ways you can take part in this fun event without getting behind the wheel.

     

    VOLUNTEER – Give your time, services, or smiles to planning and executing the event. E-mail TYPros Manager Shagah Zakerion at shagahzakerion@typros.org if you are open to volunteering.


    BUILD AN OBSTACLE – Our race will be riddled with obstacles to help and hinder our racers. We need your creative juices and help to conceptualize and build our track. Contact Nick Karlovich at nick.karlovich@me.com to get on board.

     

    PLAY – Come to the event June 7th—buy some food, have a few drinks and play some games—every dollar spent will help us toward our goal for the YWCA. 10% of all Fassler Hall sales will go to back to our fundraising efforts.

     

    DONATE – Not interested in racing but still want to give to the cause? Contribute towards reaching our goal for the YWCA, every little bit helps! Donations can be made online at www.tulsabigwheel.eventbrite.com.
